Description

Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potential (VEMP) test to asses for balance disorders.

The use of VEMP this test is to determine if the vestibular nerve which is responsible for balance is in good working order.

These tests require that the patient will lie flat and calm for a few minutes, while the test is done. Skin is cleaned on the forehead and on the neck. Over the cleaned surface electrodes are placed. Sound is transmitted to the patient when headphones properly set over the ears.
