Aviation Hearing Test (PPL & CPL Renewal)
At IncusEar Hearing and Balance Centre, we advise hearing test (Pure-Tone Audiometry) should be done not less than once every five years up to the age of 40 years, and thereafter not less than once every two years. Hearing is second only to vision as a pilot’s most important sense in gathering information to operate an airplane. Applicants shall be required to demonstrate a hearing performance sufficient for the safe exercise of their license and rating privileges. In aviation one must demonstrate the hearing of an average conversational voice in a quiet room, using both ears at 6 feet.
