Home visits for Hearing Loss assessment and Hearing Aid Fitting

In today’s busy world there are many people who find that getting time for appointments around their busy schedule can be almost impossible. Taking extra time off work or having to travel to a hearing centre can often hold you back to have your comprehensive hearing report. IncusEar Hearing and Balance Centre understands how important your hearing is, our audiologists are happy to visit you in your home at a time convenient for you.  This means no extra time is wasted in traffic jams or sitting around in reception waiting for your turn.

A good number of people believe that a hearing test can only be properly done in some in sound-proof booth. This is not the case. IncusEar Hearing and Balance Centre has state-of-the-art equipments, including headphones that can test your hearing just as accurately in any quiet room in your home. As your hearing loss changes over a period of time, It is very useful to have these appointments done at home as you are already in the environment you use the hearing aids in.
A home visit hearing test is no different to one done in our centre. The audiologist will examine your ears first to check for blockage or signs of infection, and then they will conduct a full hearing test to determine the exact level of hearing loss you have. Once this information has been gathered, they will then sit down and discuss with you all the options they believe would be suitable for your hearing needs.

Also there are many wireless accessories that can connect your hearing aids to various devices in your home such as your TV or telephone. With a home visit, the audiologist can properly demonstrate these so you have a far better idea of whether it is the kind of technology for you.
Our home visits are there to provide a solution, not only for those who cannot leave the house, but for those who need a convenient, less time consuming way of getting their hearing tested.
